A special rule for married women

For a married woman applicant, family eligibility is judged using her in-laws' family, not her parents' and siblings' family. So the income and property limits apply to her husband's household.

Understanding the three-year registration rule

This is the condition that trips up the most people. Your registration with the employment exchange must be at least three years old on 1 November 2026. In simple terms, you should have registered on or before 1 November 2023. If you registered later than that, you won't qualify in this round, even if you meet every other condition.

So how do you check? Log in to HREX and look at your registration date on your profile, or check the registration card you got from the employment office. If you never registered at all, do it now anyway. It won't help this round, but the clock starts ticking for future rounds, and the registration also gets you job fair alerts and placement drives.

One more thing: keep your registration renewed if your district asks for renewal. A lapsed registration can create problems at verification.

How much is the allowance?

The press releases don't mention the monthly amount. Under Haryana's existing scheme, the allowance has differed by qualification, with higher amounts for graduates and postgraduates than for 12th pass candidates. Since the rates can be revised, check the current amount on hrex.gov.in or with your district employment office instead of relying on old figures floating around on social media.

If you're a graduate or postgraduate, also look at the Saksham Yuva scheme, which links an honorarium to some hours of work. The portal will show you which scheme you fit.

Documents to keep ready

• Haryana domicile certificate.

• Family ID (PPP) number, with your details correct.

• 10th and 12th mark sheets, and any diploma or degree certificates.

• Aadhaar card.

• Bank passbook of an Aadhaar-linked account in your name.

• Recent passport-size photo.

• Employment exchange registration number.

• Income and property details, usually as a self-declaration in the format given on the portal.

Tip: check your Family ID data on meraparivar.haryana.gov.in first. If your income or age is wrong there, fix it before applying, because the portal may pull data from it.

How to apply on HREX, step by step

1. Go to hrex.gov.in/login.

2. Log in with your existing employment exchange registration. If you've forgotten the password, use the reset option with your mobile number.

3. Check that your profile, education and Family ID details are complete and correct.

4. Find the unemployment allowance application option.

5. Fill in the form and upload the documents asked for.

6. Submit the self-declaration on income and property.

7. Submit before 30 November 2026, and save or print the acknowledgement.

Don't leave it for the last two days of November 2026. Government portals get slow near deadlines.

What happens after you apply

Your application goes for verification, usually by the district employment office. They check your registration date, education, Family ID data and eligibility. If something's missing, you may be asked to submit it. Once approved, the allowance is paid into your Aadhaar-linked bank account.

You can check your status by logging into HREX. If it's stuck, visit your district employment office with your acknowledgement.

Common reasons applications get rejected

• Registration less than three years old on 1 November 2026.

• Age outside 21 to 35.

• Family income in PPP shown above ₹3 lakh.

• Being enrolled as a student, trainee or apprentice.

• Bank account not linked to Aadhaar.

• Mismatched name or date of birth across documents.

Already working or studying?

This allowance is for educated unemployed youth. If you're currently studying, doing an apprenticeship or a traineeship, you aren't eligible right now. Once you finish, you can apply in a later round if you meet the other conditions.

Tips to get it right the first time

• Apply from a laptop or desktop if you can. Uploading files from a phone sometimes fails on government portals.

• Scan documents clearly, in colour, and check they open before uploading.

• Make sure your name is spelled the same way on your Family ID, Aadhaar, mark sheets and bank account. Even a missing initial can cause trouble at verification.

• Note down your HREX login and application number somewhere safe.

• If you're unsure whether you qualify, visit your district employment office before 30 November 2026 and ask. The staff can check your registration date and documents on the spot.
