Your serial number is the position of your entry within that particular electoral-roll part.

Instead of:
"My voter ID has some SIR problem. Please check everything."
say:
"My EPIC is ______. My part number is ______ and serial number is ______. I want to confirm what I need to do regarding my SIR verification."
Then ask:
1. Is there any pending action for my entry?
2. Do I need to provide any document?
3. Is there a notice or verification date?
4. Where should I submit the required information?
5. Is there an official acknowledgement/reference I should keep?
Write down the date and time of the conversation.
Don't Share OTPs With Someone Claiming to Be Your BLOA legitimate election-related conversation does not mean you should hand over control of your digital accounts.
Be cautious if someone contacting you asks for:
- OTP
- UPI PIN
- Banking password
- ATM PIN
- Card CVV
- Remote access to your phone
For Aadhaar-related information, follow the official SIR instructions applicable to your state rather than sending sensitive information to an unverified number.

Verify the official contact details first.
Then communicate.
What If Your BLO Doesn't Answer?Don't spend a week repeatedly calling one number.
Use the escalation path.
Step 1
Try the BLO again at a reasonable time.
Step 2
Check your electoral-roll/part information online.
Step 3
Contact the relevant ERO/AERO or election office.
Step 4
Call 1950 for voter-related assistance.

Create one digital folder:

Try:
Name variation → relative's name → district → AC → part → polling station

If you still cannot find the record, don't infer from the search failure alone that your current electoral-roll entry has been deleted.
