PM-KISAN Special Drive Till 31 October 2026: Finish e-KYC, Land Seeding and Aadhaar-Bank Link or Reapply
Farmers who are registered under PM-KISAN but still have one or more mandatory verification requirements pending should use the October special drive to complete them.
The reported special drive runs through 31 October 2026, focusing on pending e-KYC, land-record seeding and Aadhaar seeding of bank accounts. Farmers who remain incomplete may need to go through the prescribed fresh application process rather than simply waiting for the next instalment. The Wave Andaman
This is important because the Agriculture Ministry says these three requirements are mandatory for PM-KISAN benefit processing: land records must be seeded, the bank account must be Aadhaar-linked, and e-KYC must be completed. Press Information Bureau
What is the PM-KISAN benefit?
PM-KISAN provides ₹6,000 per eligible farmer family every year, paid in three instalments of ₹2,000 through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Press Information Bureau
The money is transferred to an Aadhaar-seeded bank account after the beneficiary's details have been verified.
The scheme is for eligible landholding farmer families with cultivable land, subject to the exclusions prescribed under PM-KISAN rules. Press Information Bureau
What must be completed before the October drive ends?
Think of the process as three mandatory checks:
| Requirement | What it means |
|---|---|
| e-KYC | Your identity is verified through Aadhaar-based authentication |
| Land seeding | Your eligible cultivable land records are correctly linked/seeding is reflected in PM-KISAN |
| Aadhaar-bank linking | The bank account receiving PM-KISAN payments is Aadhaar-seeded |
The government has made these requirements mandatory as part of beneficiary verification and payment processing. Press Information Bureau
1 Complete PM-KISAN e-KYC
The first thing to check is your e-KYC status.
The PM-KISAN portal currently states that e-KYC is mandatory for registered farmers. It also provides biometric-based e-KYC options through authorised channels. PM Kisan
Ways to complete e-KYC
Depending on the facility available to you, e-KYC can be completed through:
- PM-KISAN's online process
- PM-KISAN mobile app using Aadhaar face authentication
- Common Service Centre (CSC)
- Other authorised State/PM-KISAN channels
The PM-KISAN e-KYC guidance also provides a face-authentication route through the PM-KISAN mobile application. PM Kisan
If you use a CSC, carry your Aadhaar details and the mobile number associated with Aadhaar where required.
After completing e-KYC
Don't assume that submission automatically means the requirement is cleared.
Check your Beneficiary Status again. The official portal provides financial-year-wise e-KYC information in the status section. PM Kisan
2 Check whether your land is seeded
Your land records are another important part of PM-KISAN verification.
The landholding details submitted for PM-KISAN must be verified and seeded into the PM-KISAN system.
This is particularly important if you:
- Recently inherited agricultural land
- Purchased agricultural land
- Had a mutation recently completed
- Have changed land records
- Have multiple plots
- Have recently shifted or corrected land records
- See a land-related problem in your beneficiary status
Land records are maintained by State/UT authorities, so the exact correction process differs from State to State.
If the PM-KISAN portal shows a land-seeding problem, contact the appropriate agriculture/revenue authority or the designated PM-KISAN official in your State.
Don't confuse land ownership with PM-KISAN eligibility
Having land does not automatically guarantee PM-KISAN payment.
The farmer must satisfy the scheme's eligibility conditions and not fall under the applicable exclusion categories.
3 Make sure Aadhaar is seeded with your bank account
This is one of the most important checks if your payment has not arrived.
PM-KISAN payments are made through DBT into Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts. The Agriculture Ministry has specifically stated that payments cannot be processed where the bank account is not Aadhaar-seeded. Press Information Bureau
Visit your bank or use the bank's available Aadhaar-seeding facility and ask whether:
My bank account is Aadhaar-seeded for DBT payments.
Do not rely only on the fact that your Aadhaar number appears somewhere in your bank records.
The relevant account must be capable of receiving the PM-KISAN DBT.
4 Check your PM-KISAN beneficiary status
After completing the three requirements, check the official Know Your Status facility.
The PM-KISAN status page can show information such as:
- Payment status
- Bank name
- UTR number
- Payment mode
- Account credited
- Credit date
- e-KYC information PM Kisan
If you have forgotten your PM-KISAN registration number, the official portal also provides a Know Your Registration Number facility using mobile number or Aadhaar. PM Kisan
5 What if your name is missing or your application was rejected?
Don't automatically assume that you have permanently lost PM-KISAN eligibility.
First identify why the record is not active.
The official PM-KISAN portal currently flags certain cases for additional verification, including some cases involving land acquired after 1 February 2019 and situations where more than one family member is receiving benefits. Such benefits can be temporarily withheld pending physical verification. PM Kisan
Check your status for the specific reason.
Depending on the issue, you may need to:
- Correct your land information
- Resolve Aadhaar authentication problems
- Complete e-KYC
- Correct bank details
- Resolve a State/district mismatch
- Provide land documents
- Complete physical verification
- Submit a fresh PM-KISAN application
If you need to reapply
The official PM-KISAN portal provides a New Farmer Registration facility.
The registration process requires Aadhaar authentication and asks for information including your mobile number and State. PM Kisan
Before applying again, make sure your underlying records are correct.
For example, if the problem is incorrect land information, simply submitting another application without fixing the land record may not solve the problem.
What documents should farmers keep ready?
Depending on the problem and your State's verification process, keep copies/details of:
- Aadhaar card
- Aadhaar-linked mobile number
- Bank passbook
- Bank account details
- Land ownership/revenue records
- Mutation documents, where applicable
- Mobile number registered with PM-KISAN
- PM-KISAN registration number
- Previous payment details
- Any application or acknowledgement number
You should not hand over your Aadhaar OTP, UPI PIN, ATM PIN or internet-banking password to anyone claiming to complete PM-KISAN verification.
What if the bank account has changed?
This can be particularly important for farmers who have:
- Closed an old account
- Opened a new account
- Changed banks
- Changed branches
- Had an account become inactive
Check which account is currently linked for the PM-KISAN DBT.
The government has also said that Aadhaar-bank linking is a continuing process because farmers may change bank accounts; once the mandatory requirement is completed, eligible dues can be transferred to the Aadhaar-linked account. Press Information Bureau
What if e-KYC was completed but the status hasn't changed?
Don't immediately repeat the process several times.
The official PM-KISAN e-KYC guidance says that e-KYC status may take up to 24 hours to reflect after completion. PM Kisan
Check the status again after allowing the system time to update.
If it remains unresolved, use an authorised CSC or the relevant agriculture department channel rather than paying an unofficial agent.
What if the land record is correct but PM-KISAN still shows a problem?
This can happen because PM-KISAN relies on verified data received from States/UTs.
The Agriculture Ministry has said that States/UTs are responsible for enrolling beneficiaries and validating and verifying their data, while payments are released based on eligible beneficiaries identified and verified through the system. Press Information Bureau
Therefore, a land-record problem may need to be corrected at the State/revenue/agriculture level, not simply by changing something on the PM-KISAN website.
Don't wait for the next instalment to check
PM-KISAN has already released its 23rd instalment on 20 June 2026, according to the official portal. PM Kisan
If you are expecting a subsequent instalment, this is a good time to check the complete chain:
Eligibility → Land seeding → Aadhaar-bank seeding → e-KYC → Beneficiary status → Payment status
A problem at any one of these stages can affect payment processing.
Five-minute PM-KISAN checklist
Before 31 October 2026, check:
- e-KYC shows completed
- Land details are seeded/verified
- Aadhaar is seeded with the correct bank account
- PM-KISAN beneficiary status is active
- Bank details are correct
- Previous payment/UTR can be checked
- Any rejection or withholding reason has been addressed
- Fresh registration is submitted if the official process requires it
- Application/acknowledgement numbers are saved
Where should you check?
Use the official PM-KISAN portal, rather than links sent through WhatsApp or SMS.
The portal provides:
- New Farmer Registration
- Know Your Status
- Registration-number recovery
- e-KYC-related services
- Beneficiary information PM Kisan
The bottom line
The October 2026 special drive is an opportunity for farmers with pending PM-KISAN verification requirements to fix the record instead of waiting for a payment failure.
Complete e-KYC, make sure your land records are properly seeded, confirm Aadhaar-bank seeding, and then check Know Your Status.
If your record is rejected or missing, find the specific reason and follow the prescribed correction or fresh-registration process. The important thing is to resolve the underlying problem before the 31 October 2026 special-drive deadline rather than assuming that simply being registered on PM-KISAN guarantees the next ₹2,000 instalment.
