How to find your MP by address

If you're not sure which Lok Sabha constituency you're in:

1. Check your voter ID details on the Voters' Service Portal. It shows your assembly constituency.

2. Each Lok Sabha seat in AP is made up of seven assembly seats. Your assembly constituency tells you your Lok Sabha seat.

3. Or search your area on NetaSampark's Andhra Pradesh page, which shows your MP and MLA.

Want to know your MLA too? See our list of all 175 AP MLAs.

How to contact your MP

• NetaSampark profile: open your MP's profile from the table above for contact options and updates.

• sansad.in: every MP's official page lists their Delhi and local address, and often a phone number and email.

• Constituency office: most MPs have an office in the main town of their constituency. Staff there take petitions.

• Public meetings: MPs often hold grievance days or "praja darbar" style meetings. Watch local news.

When you write, keep it short: your name, village or ward, the problem, what you've already tried, and what you want done. Attach copies of earlier complaints if any.

What your MP can and can't do

Your MP can:

• Raise your issue in Parliament through questions and debates.

• Recommend works under MPLADS, like roads, borewells, school rooms or community halls, within the scheme's rules.

• Write to Central ministries and push for Central schemes in your area, like railways, highways, telecom and national health programmes.

• Sit on parliamentary committees that review laws and budgets.

Your MP usually can't directly fix state matters like your ration card, land records or village roads under the panchayat. For those, your MLA, MPTC or sarpanch is the better contact. With the MPTC and ZPTC results due on 7 November 2026, you'll soon have a fresh set of local representatives too.

AP's MPs by region

It can help to think of the 25 seats in three broad regions.

North Andhra and the Godavari belt: Araku, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalle, Kakinada, Amalapuram, Rajahmundry, Narsapuram and Eluru. This region includes the port city of Visakhapatnam, the tribal areas around Araku, and the rich delta farmland of the Godavari districts. Issues raised here often include ports, fishing, tribal welfare and the Polavaram project.

Central Andhra (Krishna and Guntur belt): Machilipatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur, Narasaraopet, Bapatla and Ongole. This covers the capital region around Amaravati, so capital development, roads and rail links, and farm prices come up often.

Rayalaseema and the south: Nandyal, Kurnool, Anantapur, Hindupur, Kadapa, Nellore, Tirupati, Rajampet and Chittoor. Drought, irrigation, industrial corridors and the Tirupati pilgrimage economy are recurring themes here.

Knowing your region helps you see what your MP is likely to focus on in Parliament, and which issues you can push them on. If your area's priority isn't getting attention, a short, clear petition from a group of residents usually carries more weight than a single complaint.
